Canvas Board – New style scheme Saturday 658
I’ve created a new theme based on Saturday 658. This theme is called Canvas Board and is a simplified derivative of Saturday 658. It has only the standard layout from Saturday 658. It still has the theme options for switching from graphical title to text, inserting analytics, inserting ads, adding feedburner etc. It’s a basic white/off white/ light light gray theme that will suit anyone looking for a simple, clean no-fuss layout.
Instead of making this a new theme I’ve decided to make it a new style scheme since it’s basically just the same as Saturday 658. So Canvas Board is a new style scheme rather than a new theme based on Saturday 658.

Ok – I rembered how to download and unpack styles, but still have no horizontal scroller.
BTW – did I ever tell you how much I appreciate you work in building this theme.
If not then let me say it now.
Thanks
Ok – found out what I screwed up and changed it to get the horizontal scrolling working.
Now —
I get a big area of wasted space up at the top before the 3 set news items.
Could you look at my blog and tell me if is possilbe to tighten that up.
I would really apreciate it.
Thanks

Hi John, which browser shows the white space?
IE8.
It is not white space.
It is the ‘Banner’ Area (if that would be the correct term).
There is a large space between the ‘Home’ ‘About’ toolbar.
There is another large space from the Sitename and logo down to the catagory toolbar.
Then below the Catagory toolbar the is a large space before the top three fix articles.
Incidently – this layout was what I searched a lot of themes to find.
I wanted a way to show the last 3 (or so) things I had written about as
a fixed synopsis and then an easy way that people could look through past
topics.
Your theme is perfect.
I think the scrolling is much better than people blindly opening archives (most people don’t do that) but when you can click through synopsis of past targets – it is more likly they will do that.
Anyway – I love it.
